Fluorescence of minerals in thin sections and spectra.

With the addition of a violet laser and UV LED lightning, the microscope can be converted to a fluorescence instrument to study the fluorescence of minerals in thin sections. The connection of an Alpy 600 spectrograph to the microscope produces spectra of small minerals in the section.
