On this
Millbillillie Eucrite thin section, two main minerals are present: low relief (LPNA) and low birefringence plagioclase and high relief and higher
birefringence pyroxene. The plagioclase has been
determined with phase contrast, it is an AN85 bytownite. The pyroxene is difficult to
determine with the same technique due to the ondulose extinction produced by the
shocks.
