NW904 ordinary chondrite in thin section
(~0.1 mm). Olivine chondrule. Spectra obtained on a bright olivine
crystal are presented below. As the section is very thin, the
intensities of the absorbance peaks are much lower and the signal to
noise ratio decreases. Nevertheless, the 3 peaks structure of iron
II in the olivine structure are still visible. Compare this spectrum to
the forsterite thick crystal
or the Pallasite spectrum. |
