Pargasite in Zoisite-Ruby section.

Zoisite-Ruby section from Tanzania. Thick section. The pale yellow-green
to deep green pleochroism is well defined in the polarized spectra, it has
been analyzed by Raman: it is pargasite (hornblende family). (The non
colored crystals are the zoisite). Small
spin forbidden transitions at 14500 20200 and 22500 cm-1 are also well
defined in the pargasite spectra. Green and purple curves were recorded at higher resolution.
